Bluco Corporation is introducing the newest member to its parts lineup: The Wolverine Clamp. Wolverine Clamps are specifically designed to fit Bluco?s Modular Fixturing tables and are ideal for production and high volumes of work. The Wolverine Clamp provides 2,100 lb of clamping force compared with a traditional toggle clamp that generates 300 lb of force. The clamps are rated for over 100,000 cycles of use, and are now available in both horizontal and vertical styles for the D16 and D28 fixturing systems. Customers can send Bluco drawings and on-site engineers will design tailored fixtures from their existing equipment.

Wolverine Clamps are carefully engineered to lock quickly, positively-release instantly, and allow maximum clearance in the open position. They are also extremely rugged with drop-forged body components, machine-reamed bearing surfaces, and hardened steel pins and bushings, that assure positive clamping when standing up to high pressures and vibrations. Additionally, each clamp is black oxide coated for wear and corrosion resistance, which makes them resilient with each application.

These parts can be modified by the customer for part-specific applications. For example, customers can drill and tap a hole in the solid clamping bar to add a clamp screw of their choice. Other modifications include cutting down the solid clamping arm, or welding an extension bar to the end for added reach.

Bluco?s modular fixturing systems for welding feature accurate 5-sided welding tables. Angles, spacer blocks, clamps, bolts, and universal stops can be assembled into a ready-to-use welding fixture.
