Gradient Lens Corporation (GLC) offers its new Luxxor Video System. The new system offers manufacturers an easy way to capture, share and store borescope inspection images, aiding the effort to discover product flaws early in the manufacturing process. The Luxxor Video System connects to any rigid or flexible Hawkeye Precision Borescope, which GLC manufactures, as well as to most other borescope brands.

The benefits of using the Luxxor Video System include the ability to:

  • ? easily document inspections and store video or still images on a computer hard drive
  • ? share inspection images via e-mail or hard copy
  • ? hold group reviews of inspection images displayed on a video monitor
  • ? more easily and quickly conduct repetitive inspections by relieving the physical and mental fatigue of inspectors

"This type of visual inspection capability, including documentation, is quickly becoming the standard and is increasingly expected of manufacturers, especially those producing mission-critical parts," said Dr. Douglas S. Kindred, GLC's president. "Although users can easily and quickly inspect parts using a hand-held Hawkeye Borescope, attaching a video camera and laptop computer to a ?scope has clear advantages." The Luxxor Video System includes these components: Sony XC-555 Video Camera; Luxxor 24 Light Source; Luxxor Light Guide; Luxxor Video Coupler Lens; USB Image Capture Interface; and Hawkeye SuperKit storage case. The complete system sells for under $4000. Hawkeye borescopes are sold separately. www.gradientlens.com
