Congratulations were extended to Jeff Allen for reaching 15 years of service with United Performance Metals (Hamilton, OH) during the second quarter of 2013. Allen is the account manager of GE Aircraft Engines.

United Performance Metals (Hamilton, OH) is a metals service center and leading supplier of specialty stainless steel and high temperature alloys. In related news, Coil Product Planner Derek Garrett achieved the designation of becoming Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Earning his CPIM has entitled Garrett to increase his functional knowledge of production and inventory management by passing exams in the following areas:

  • Basics of Supply Chain Management
  • Master Planning of Resources
  • Detailed Scheduling and Planning
  • Execution and Control of Operations
  • Strategic Management of Resources

Garrett earned his certification through the Association for Operations Management (APICS), a global leader in and the premier source of the body of knowledge in supply chain and operations management, including production, inventory, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.
