Tom Schockman Named VP, Finance and Accounting, and CFO for Motoman, Inc.
Motoman Inc. (Dayton, OH) has announced that Thomas J. Schockman has joined Motoman as Vice-President, Finance and Accounting, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He succeeds Steve Barhorst, who took over the top leadership role as Motoman?s President and Chief Operations Officer (COO) in July 2008.
Prior to joining Motoman, Schockman?s career encompassed key senior financial roles in manufacturing and public accounting for more than 22 years. Most recently, he worked as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Corporate Controller for Robbins & Myers, Inc. (Dayton, Ohio), a $750 million public company that designs and manufactures capital equipment used in a variety of industries. Prior to that, Schockman was Vice-President, Controller for Spinnaker Coating, Inc. (Troy, Ohio). His early career was with Ernst & Young LLP (Dayton, Ohio), where he was an Audit Senior Manager.
Schockman earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (BSBA) from Ohio Northern University in 1986. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1987.
