Built for the toughest applications: The new Tiger 3D MAX Ceramic resin fiber discs are abrasive products built for superior cut rate and durability.

Weiler Abrasives, a leading producer of abrasives and power brushes for surface conditioning, has introduced the new Tiger 3D MAX Ceramic resin fiber discs — advanced abrasive products built for superior cut rate and durability in the toughest applications. This addition to the Tiger portfolio provides an optimized, high-performance grinding solution for general metal fabrication and industries that require multi-pass welding, such as shipbuilding, pressure vessel manufacturing and heavy equipment fabrication.

“This cutting-edge grain technology is designed for maximum cut rate and material removal to boost throughput and reduce operator fatigue,” says Michael Zulauf, Product Manager, Weiler Abrasives. “This allows operators to reduce changeovers and finish their work faster. These discs work harder, so operators don’t have to.”

Using 3D precision-shaped grain, the discs deliver exceptional cut rate, durability and cool grinding for maximum productivity. The grain stands upright, allowing for effortless metal removal. Additionally, the design provides optimized grain retention, which extends disc life and reduces changeovers, saving operations time and money. Micro-fracturing technology and the 3D grain shape make the work easier because less force is required when grinding. The discs are engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, armored steel, tool steel, Inconel and titanium.

Tiger 3D MAX Ceramic resin fiber discs are available in two versions: with a topcoat or without. A topcoat is recommended for stainless steel and other difficult materials because it reduces grinding temperature and helps prevent heat damage and discoloration. The uncoated version is ideal for carbon steel.

Extensive testing shows that the new Tiger 3D MAX Ceramic discs deliver improved product life while maintaining fast cutting speed. They are also contaminant-free, making them safe for use on stainless steel parts.

At Weiler, the commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction goes beyond the product itself. The company positions itself as a strategic partner dedicated to helping operations achieve their goals.
