The Walter TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter.

Walter has introduced the TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter, a full-effective thread milling cutter that can be used with or without internal cooling for reliable chip evacuation even at a high feed per tooth. The TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter is suitable for both blind-hole and through-hole threads.

The TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter is offered for thread depths up to 2.0 × nominal diameter (DN). It can machine steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and super alloys up to a hardness of 48 HRC, covering ISO P, M, K, N and S material groups. The program range includes M4 to M20, M4×0.5 to M20×2, UNC8 to UNC7/8, UNF8 to UNF3/4 and G1/16 to G1.

The TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter features an optimized short flute geometry for maximum stability, a differential pitch for smooth running with short threads and a modified neck geometry. The tool is manufactured using Walter’s high-performance grade WB10TU to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of materials. The shank is produced in accordance with the DIN 6535 HB standard.

The TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter is designed to meet strict requirements for process reliability, particularly when threading expensive components. It produces threads with excellent quality while enabling short machining times and long tool life with minimal radius corrections.

The Walter lineup consists of three tool categories. Supreme represents the highest level of technology and performance available. Perform tools provide an economical solution with a strong focus on price. Advance indicates products that are efficiently balanced between price and performance.
