The L.S. Starrett Company, a global manufacturer of precision measuring tools and gages, has partnered with H. The limited edition chests will be available to order from November 17 through December 19. Delivery is estimated for March 2026. Each chest will ship from Gerstner’s Dayton, Ohio facility to locations throughout the continental United States. The release celebrates the enduring Starrett and Gerstner partnership and coincides with Gerstner’s 120th anniversary.

Handcrafted to Gerstner’s exacting standards, the Starrett 200WCR tool chest is built for heirloom quality. It features sustainable Sapele hardwood construction. Joinery, trim, and classic hardware remain true to the original design whenever possible. Each chest is individually numbered and reproduced to match the original No. 200W chest in both size and layout.

Every 200WCR chest includes The Starrett Story booklet, a Starrett Decimal-Inch Equivalent Card, and a Certificate of Authenticity. Staying true to the 1950s design, each chest also features the vintage Starrett nameplate and red felt-lined drawers.

Designed for machinists, engineers, woodworkers, DIYers, and collectors, the 200WCR chest reflects time-honored craftsmanship and the lasting value of American made tools. The collaboration serves as a tribute to generations of toolmakers who shaped the American industrial tradition.

“The new Starrett 200WCR tool chest is a testament to American craftsmanship where quality and durability are paramount,” said Charlie Starrett, Director of Product Management at The L.S. Starrett Company. “It is more than a place to store tools. It is a conversation, a link to the past, and a tribute to precision and pride in one’s work.”

“We are thrilled to partner again with Starrett and continue a relationship that began nearly 70 years ago,” said Kim Campbell Brown, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at H. Gerstner & Sons. “Like Starrett, Gerstner remains committed to American manufacturing and the skilled trades that rely on tools built to last.”
