Stablelock Thrust Clamps can be Used as Thrust and/or Pull Clamps

By turning the handle on the QLRCW Stablelock clamps from Fixtureworks balls are pushed out by the tapered surface to compress the collet and hold the bar or pin shaft. The spring-loaded clamping ensures constant clamping force.
Fixtureworks, Stablelock Clamp series, Stablelock Thrust Clamps (QLRCW)
The Stablelock Thrust Clamps (QLRCW) from Fixtureworks can be used as both a thrust clamp and a pull clamp.

Fixtureworks® a leading supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool and material handling products, has bolstered its array of clamps, modular fixturing and set-up accessories by offering the thrust clamp version of its Stablelock Clamp series.

The Stablelock Thrust Clamps (QLRCW) can be used as both a thrust clamp and a pull clamp. By turning the handle, the balls are pushed out by the tapered surface to compress the collet and hold the bar or pin shaft. The spring-loaded clamping ensures constant clamping force.

Thrust clamping is realized by using a clamping bar (sold separately). Releasing the handle allows the clamping bar to be retracted for workpiece removal. Choosing a clamping bar with a long projection range allows for clamping recessed or hard to access parts.

Moreso, used with a clamping pin (not supplied), this clamp operates as a pull-type clamp. By turning the handle, the base clamp locks onto the pin.

An indication line on the body and base of this clamp provides a clear indication of the clamping and unclamping positions. The completion of clamping is indicated by a click. The body and collet are made from electroless nickel-plated pre-hardened steel. The cover and lever arm are made from electroless nickel-plated 1045 steel. The handle is made from black phenolic plastic.

The Stablelock thrust clamps are offered in clockwise (QLRCW40R0) and counterclockwise (QLRCW40L) clamping directions. They offer up to 112 lb. of clamping force and travel in 150° rotation all while being under two inches in height in the clamped position.

Fixtureworks Stablelock Clamps Series is available in a variety of clamping modes…swing, pull, push, side and thrust. The versatility of the modes offers an expansive range

of arm travel and length of arm options and makes these clamping choices for a variety of clamping, fixturing and workholding applications…and especially useful for highly repetitive clamping jobs.

In addition to Stablelock Clamps, Fixtureworks offers shaft locking clamps other quick change pneumatic clamping fasteners, quick action spring plunger clamps, handle and levers, knobs and grips, equipment handles, handwheels and cranks, hinges and latches, leveling supports, industrial rubber bumpers, stops and wheels, fixturing clamps, clamping locating systems, work positioning elements, vises, grippers and mechanical linear actuators.
