The Power Clamping Swing Cylinder line from Jergens, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) offers better-engineered swing cylinders that improve function and lessen friction for longer wear life and smoother operation.

A proprietary cylinder design allows for robust operation, with precision-machined features such as squared tracks and pins designed for close tolerance and smoother motion ? not V-grooves and ball bearings as in competitive products that can cause assembly breakdown and reduced product life. These Swing Cylinders have heavy-duty, low-friction rods and double lip rod seals to extend service life and eliminate leakage.

The new Swing Cylinders provide workholding convenience and versatility with a choice of top or bottom flange styles and in single- or double-acting versions. Bottom flange Swing Cylinders offer through-hole bottom mount or a top-plate mounting. Both are hydraulically activated, and either style can be manifold mounted or conventionally plumbed through two #4 SAE ports. A non-threaded body simplifies mounting.
Highly adaptable Jergens Swing Cylinders come in three sizes and have clamping capacities from 1,100 to 5,000 lb. Standard piston rotation is 90 deg to the right, but 90 deg left rotation or no rotation may be ordered to fit any application.
