Sandvik Coromant (Fair Lawn, NJ), the world’s leading producer of tools for the metal cutting industry, is pleased to announce the opening of a new productivity center in Cypress, Calif. The new facility will open its doors for a full-day Open House event on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 that begins at 11 am.

The Open House will feature facility tours, meet and greet with executives, technical presentations, and live machine demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with technical experts from the company. Designed to help manufacturers in the southwest maximize their metal cutting operations, the new Productivity Center will be the fifth of its kind in North America, joining facilities in Fair Lawn; Schaumburg, IL; Mississauga, ON; and Monterey, Mexico.

“Our productivity centers around the world combine theory with a great deal of hands-on practice and training for our customers,” said Robert Page, Productivity Center and Training manager. “There is a huge customer base in the southwest region that we will now be able to reach with better support and training.” The facility will be used to present customers and distributors with live demonstrations, seminars and advanced theory-based training courses. The Productivity Center will focus on helping American manufacturers maximize their productivity and profitability through understanding and application of the latest technologies in cutting tools, machine tools and machining processes. www.MyYellowCoat.com/CaPC, www.sandvik.coromant.com/us
