Sandvik Coromant (Fair Lawn, NJ) and Joe Gibbs Racing have signed up to extend their partnership for another two years.

?We are always looking for ways to continue improving machining of parts which will ultimately result in better performing cars and continuous success. Demands to consistently produce flawless parts with lead times ranging from mere hours to days spells the difference between first and last place finishes,? said Mark Bringle, Manager Technical Sponsors at Joe Gibbs Racing.

?When we bring in a technology partner we like the expertise to come with the product. Sandvik Coromant supports with more than tools, their expertise is by far the best in the business. We have developed our way of working, and I can tell you that we work much smarter and more efficiently today than 6 ? 7 years ago,? continued Mr. Bringle.

Today 24 machines operate 20 hours a day to produce 900 different parts. About 80 percent of those parts are made with tools from Sandvik Coromant and Sandvik Coromant tools are used exclusively on all Joe Gibbs Racing machines.

?We consider them to be a major player in the core of our business and the continuation of the partnership is definitely a smart move," said JD Gibbs, Team President at JGR. ?During the years, we have learned the importance of having control of the quality of every single part in our cars. By working with Sandvik Coromant we know that the quality is top of the line and our chances for success are great.?
