Renishaw Acquires U.S. Manufacturer of Metrology Fixtures
The acquisition supports the company’s increasing focus on metrology system sales, such as those involving new gage technology that requires fixturing devices.
Renishaw (Hoffman Estates, IL), a world leading engineering technologies company, purchased the business of R&R Sales LLC (Grand Haven, MI), a U.S.-based leader in fixtures for the global measurement and inspection market. The acquisition of R&R supports Renishaw’s increasing focus on metrology system sales, such as those involving the company’s new Equator gage, which requires fixturing devices.
Family-owned R&R has 19 employees and for over 20 years has supplied the global measurement market with both modular and custom fixtures for CMM and vision systems. The R&R Fixture is widely used to hold parts for dimensional inspection in almost every manufacturing field, from automotive, aerospace and electronics to medical and household appliances.
