Truex Receives Sixth Environmental Compliance Award
Truex Inc. (Pawtucket, RI) recently received its sixth Environmental Perfect Compliance award from the Narragansett Bay Commission of Rhode Island. Each year the commission recognizes industrial users who have demonstrated a perfect record of compliance to its environmental regulations. Only 14 out of 1,500 companies in Rhode Island achieved this perfect record this year.
According to quality manager Mack Buchan, "This marks the fifth consecutive time we have achieved this award. We place great importance on the protection of the environment and set our standards high enough to meet or exceed all State and Federal requirements. It really is a team effort and all of our employees take great pride in this accomplishment."
Founded in 1976, Truex manufactures deep drawn stampings fabricated from brass, steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Its modern 40,000 sq ft plant is ISO 9001-2000 registered. Truex is a supplier of components to the appliance, automotive, electrical, lawn and garden, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and marine industries.
