Prima Power inaugurates the expansion of the Bending Product Unit in Cologna Veneta: +50% production capacity with a focus on technological integration and sustainability On July 18, 2025, Prima Power inaugurated the expansion of its Cologna Veneta (VR) plant, a center of excellence for sheet metal bending solutions:

  • +50% production capacity thanks to an additional 2,500 sqm and a 150 kW photovoltaic system, enabling sustainable growth.
  • New service building with Academy Hall for training, additional offices, and renewed functional spaces, enhancing employee well-being.
  • Global production boost: this expansion completes the renewal project of the Prima Power sites, making them more efficient, sustainable, and fully integrated.

Prima Power, the master of technology integration in the sheet metal working industry, announced the inauguration of the new expansion of its Cologna Veneta facility, a center of excellence for sheet metal bending technology. The event marked a major milestone in the development of the site and the strengthening of its strategic importance within the Group’s industrial plan.

With 2,500 sqm of additional space, production capacity has increased by 50%, supporting the strong growth of the bending sector. In line with Prima Power’s commitment to sustainability, the new building is equipped with a 150 kW photovoltaic system, significantly reducing the plant’s energy footprint. Moreover, a new 1,000 sqm service building houses an Academy Hall for training, additional offices, a modern canteen, and new changing rooms, improving the quality of the working environment and enhancing existing spaces.

The Cologna Veneta plant manufactures the entire range of Prima Power bending solutions, covering all levels of automation and integration: from stand-alone press brakes to robotic bending cells and fully automatic panel benders, all of which can be integrated into flexible production lines. All machines are based on servo-electric technology, a hallmark of Prima Power’s sustainable innovation, ensuring precision, efficiency, and energy savings. This philosophy is embodied in the concept of “Green means”, which represents the company’s tangible and integrated commitment to creating high-tech, environmentally conscious manufacturing solutions that generate real economic benefits for businesses.

This project not only responds to the growing market demand for advanced bending solutions but also reflects the recent acquisition of Sistec AM, a robotics specialist that has strengthened the Group’s expertise in robotics integration, a strategic area for bending. The synergy of know-how, technologies, and people contributes to making Cologna Veneta an “all-in-one” bending hub, where modular, scalable, and automated solutions come together to support customer growth. A concrete example of the “Evolve by integration” strategy, which guides Prima Power in driving continuous evolution through technological integration and optimized manufacturing processes.

“This expansion represents a significant investment in Prima Power’s future and a clear signal of our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local development,” said Stefano Gecchele, Bending Product Unit Manager. “We’re excited to inaugurate these new spaces, which will increase our production capacity, enhance our customer experience, and of er our employees a more modern, welcoming, and functional work environment. A heartfelt thank you goes to our customers and partners their trust and collaboration have been essential in making this growth possible.”

The expansion of the Cologna Veneta production site completes the global renewal and modernization plan of Prima Power’s Product Units – Collegno (Italy), Seinäjoki (Finland), Minneapolis (USA), and Suzhou (China) – all designed to be more efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced, in line with a vision of integrated and global industrial evolution.
