Precision Linear Resistance Spot Welding for Automated High Speed Micro Welding

DC613T and DC1013T linear DC resistance spot welders from MacGregor Welding Systems use a high duty, high power linear transistor bank that delivers a programmed pure DC current to within 1 percent accuracy.
DC613T and DC1013T units have a 5 percent duty rating and realize further production control advantages through the high connectivity TCP/IP, USB, PLC and RS232 interfacing ports and support for direct connection of devices such as cameras, keyboards and USB data sticks.

MacGregor Welding Systems (Mildenhall, UK) continues to expand its touch panel range of spot welding power supplies with a new line of precision linear DC resistance spot welders, the DC613T and DC1013T.

Combining high speed closed loop servo control with built in process monitoring and SPC production analysis capability, these units offer extremely high process accuracy and output step control (1 amp steps up to 1000A), ideal for precision micro welding applications.

At the core is a tried and tested high duty, high power linear transistor bank which delivers a programmed pure DC current to within 1 percent accuracy.  With a 5 percent duty rating, these units are ideal for inclusion in high speed automation lines as well as lower volume manual assembly applications.

Further production control advantages can be realized through the high connectivity capability which include TCP/IP, USB, PLC and RS232 interfacing ports and support for direct connection of devices such as cameras, keyboards and USB data sticks.

Typical applications for this micro welding technology include aerospace, automotive, medical and lighting sectors manufacturing volume precision components such as sensors, micro-electronic assemblies, solar cells and LED arrays.
