New Managing Director at TDM Systems
Peter Schneck takes the lead at TDM Systems GmbH (Tübingen, Germany) as an experienced software professional and tool data specialist. He is taking over from Jürgen Auer, who is stepping back from business operations after 25 years due to health reasons.
Having graduated as a mechanical engineer he started his professional career in 1980 at Walter AG, where he as a project engineer planned and equipped large portal milling machines with tools for the generator production. Five years later, Peter Schneck switched to the software area as Manager for CAD/CAM systems and then as Manager for Technical IT Systems. His IT team introduced the first software for Tool Management at Walter from which TDM Release 1.0 originated exactly 25 years ago.
In 1993 Peter Schneck also took over the area of Business Software for the Tübingen tool manufacturer. Under his lead, Walter introduced SAP, including PLM, throughout the company. The following years, Peter Schneck shuttled between Germany and Sweden to introduce SAP also at Sandvik Machining Solutions. By his longtime experience, he will contribute to the further development of TDM software and to improve it even more for a global use.
