NEW LINE OF LUBRICANTS FOR HIGH STRENGTH STEEL
Metal Mates has introduced a new line of unique lubricants that have been specifically engineered for use on AHSS (advanced high strength steels) and difficult drawing, stamping, piercing and flanging applications. The choice of VS-HSS, OVS-HSS or HDP-HSS depends on the severity of forming application and grade and thickness of the AHSS. These high performance lubricants combine anti-wear, extreme pressure and corrosion protection for the complete range high strength steels including Dual Phase (DP), Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP) , Complex Phase (CP) and Martensitic (MART).
For easy and versatility of application the products can be applied by spray, brush, roll coat, or drip. Unlike other lubricants they won?t becoming sticky and gummy as they move through the critical segments in progressive dies. None of these new lubricants require part cleaning before welding operations. These new lubricants improve the life of dies, part quality and reduce scrap saving both time and money.
