Mobile Detection Stations

KHT MultiScan mobile detection stations from KNAPP are also master data measuring devices that can record and measure complex shapes. Ideal for mobile use in the factory, they are mounted on a network-independent transport trolley with infrared light barriers and an integrated calibrated scale that can receive and compute shipment data with a 0.01 in accuracy within seconds.

The MultiScan 1200 and MultiScan 800 mobile detection stations from KHT GmbH (Gelsenkirchen, Germany) are also master data measuring devices that can be used to record and measure complex shapes. These stations are mounted on a network-independent transport trolley with infrared light barriers and an integrated calibrated scale that makes them ideal for mobile use in the factory. The user receives all required data on demand by pushing a single button with a 0.01 in accuracy within seconds. This means case calculation for shipments can be computed with the single-unit data connected to respective customer orders. “Master data becomes increasingly important for smaller manufacturers that build a rapidly increasing product variety and must control the optimization of their supply chain,” stressed Christian Bauer, the managing director of the KHT. “For this reason, master data is the fundamental requirement for a successful supply chain. Some product ranges change monthly, making brand-specific packaging more important and with more adjustments. These measuring instruments can remedy this situation and optimally support the process and the supply chains.”

The MultiScan 1200 and MultiScan 800 mobile detection stations are available in the U.S. through KNAPP Inc. (Kennesaw, GA). KHT is also expanding their service and sales network in North America to shorten response times.
