Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp. (Louisville, KY) was recently named "Vendor of the Year" in the lumber and building materials commodities division by Do it Best Corp., the only U.S.-based, member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.

With annual sales over $2 billion, Do it Best is the second largest co-op in the industry, serving 4,100 member-owned locations in the U.S. and 47 other countries. "It is an honor to receive this recognition. This award signifies that our efforts are evident and ultimately beneficial to those we set out to support," said Jim Waldron, president of Metal Sales Manufacturing.

The selection of Vendor of the Year is determined by input from Do it Best Corp. commodity traders in all regions across the country and includes breadth and desirability of product offerings in the supplier's overall program. "Because of the broad nature of this award and national recognition, I am extremely proud of our team at all 19 branches, and appreciate their efforts and hard work that contributed towards this distinction from one of our largest customers," added Waldron.

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp. opened its first manufacturing facility in 1963 in Louisville. Today the company has 19 facilities across the U.S., with the largest sales team in the metal construction industry. The company manufactures a complete line of roof, wall, and fascia panel systems for the agricultural, commercial, industrial, architectural, and residential construction markets.
