Files, burs, brushes, grinding and cutting wheels and power tools from PFERD increase operator efficiency, health and safety, and optimize process effectiveness.

Booth N-2004: PFERD will feature a grinding booth with interactive demonstrations of grinding and cutting wheels, power tools with flap discs for rough and finish grinding applications, and thin cut-off wheels, among others.

In Booth N-2004, PFERD Inc. (Milwaukee, WI), a global manufacturer and distributor of abrasives, brushes and power tools, will highlight their precision products, power tools, and their PFERDVALUE® program. Featured products from a comprehensive line of metal cutting and finishing products will include files, burs, brushes, grinding and cutting wheels, power tools with focus on their POLIFAN®-CURVE flap discs for rough and finish grinding applications, and thin cut-off wheels, among others.

Integrated within the exhibit will be interactive demonstrations of the PFERDVALUE program that addresses increased operator efficiency, health and safety, as well as process optimization. The interactive displays will allow visitors to experience the four cornerstones of PFERDERGONOMICS®: reduced vibration, noise and emissions and improved haptics, which increases operator comfort by reducing operator force and effort during metalworking applications. PFERDEFFICIENCY®, the other component of the program, focuses on work-in-process to ensure cost savings and productivity increases. The thrust of the program lies in four basic tenets: energy savings, waste savings, time savings and resource savings. PFERD offers innovative and high performance solutions that achieve results in the shortest time possible, save energy, generate less waste and contribute to higher productivity to maximize a shop’s resources.

POLIFAN-CURVE flap discs bring significant advantages to rough and finish grinding applications. The unique and patented configuration gives POLIFAN-CURVE three fully-usable working surfaces, as opposed to the single surface of a conventional flap disc, making this tool perfect for grinding fillet welds as well as unusual curves. The lineup of thin cut-off wheels (≤ .045 in) will also be featured. Thin cut-off wheels can substantially reduce vibration, noise and dust levels, as well as improving working conditions, all leading to increased productivity.
