Heavy-duty Cleaning with Proven Corrosion Protection
KYZEN METALNOX M6324CP cleaner providing corrosion protection in metal fabrication
Featuring an oil-splitting formulation, METALNOX M6324CP promotes efficient separation of oils from the cleaning bath, supporting longer bath life, improved process stability, and reduced maintenance requirements.

KYZEN’s (Nashville, TN) METALNOX M6324CP is a heavy-duty, alkaline aqueous cleaner engineered to deliver effective soil removal while providing long-term steel corrosion protection in demanding metal fabrication environments. Designed for use in machining, stamping, and deep draw operations, M6324CP removes paraffinic oils, machining fluids, and difficult soils such as carbon smut commonly found in high-soil manufacturing processes.

Effective cleaning is a critical first step in metal finishing and passivation because residual oils and soils can compromise surface quality and corrosion resistance. By thoroughly preparing metal surfaces, METALNOX M6324CP supports consistent finishing results and helps ensure that passivated surfaces perform as intended.

Featuring an oil-splitting formulation, METALNOX M6324CP promotes efficient separation of oils from the cleaning bath, supporting longer bath life, improved process stability, and reduced maintenance requirements. In addition to its robust cleaning performance, the cleaner provides steel corrosion protection for up to 90 days of indoor storage, helping prevent flash rust and corrosion without the need for a separate rust inhibitor. This integrated corrosion protection helps extend the functional and cosmetic life of metal parts by safeguarding surfaces during post-cleaning handling, storage, and downstream processing.

METALNOX M6324CP is designed for flexibility in multi-stage cleaning systems and can be added to both wash and rinse stages, allowing manufacturers to tailor corrosion protection and passivation support to specific process requirements.

Mill Scale Wheel Delivers Fast, Efficient Removal of Tough Mill Scale
Weiler Abrasives Tiger Mill Scale wheel removing heavy mill scale from carbon steel
Tiger Mill Scale wheels from Weiler Abrasives provide aggressive mill scale removal, long product life, and prevent loading or glazing.

Weiler Abrasives (Cresco, PA), a leading producer of abrasives and power brushes for surface conditioning, offers the new Tiger Mill Scale wheel, an abrasive product designed to quickly and efficiently remove mill scale from hot-rolled carbon steel. This new addition to the Tiger portfolio provides a targeted solution for industries such as shipbuilding, pressure vessel manufacturing and metal fabrication where heavy mill scale removal is critical for weld preparation.

“The market has been demanding a better solution for removing heavy mill scale because previous options would just push the scale around without delivering results or have a very short product life,” said Tony Hufford, sector manager, metal fabrication, Weiler Abrasives. “Our new Tiger Mill Scale wheel addresses this need with a unique design and formulation that delivers exceptional performance in even the toughest applications with heavy mill scale — resulting in a clean, uniform surface to ensure proper weld penetration.”

Tiger Mill Scale wheels feature a circular studded design that aggressively cuts through thick scale and prevents loading or glazing. The type 29 curved shape increases the contact area of the wheel, maximizing material removal rates, improving operator comfort and deterring gouging. In addition, the Tiger 2.0 bond formulation provides long wheel life while the zirconia alumina grains deliver a high cut rate for the entire life of the wheel. The Tiger Mill Scale wheel is available with a 5/8-11 quick connect hub in 4-1/2”, 5” and 6” diameters.
