Automatic Indicator Test Bench Ensures Time Savings of More Than 60%
Mahr Inc., a global leader in dimensional metrology, has introduced the new and improved Precimar ICM 100 IP, a fully automatic dial and digital indicator test bench engineered for higher speed, accuracy, and ease of use. Fast image processing, intuitive software, and simple handling enable time savings of more than 60%.
Enhanced Performance and Precision

The upgraded Precimar ICM 100 IP features improved mechanics, a high-resolution camera, and optimized accuracy for a broader range of test pieces — including large dial plates such as the Millimess 1000A/1000B. Combined with software-assisted workflows, the system boosts productivity and ensures repeatable, traceable results for metrology labs, calibration centers, and production environments.
Real-time visual feedback enables precise readings, while ergonomic, one-handed controls allow users to make quick adjustments without tools. The redesigned interface enhances visibility and control during setup and operation.
Key Benefits
- Optimized accuracy in compliance with Abbe’s comparator principle for reliable measurement results
- Ergonomic design for comfortable, sustained use during long testing sessions
- Manual mode with handwheel and camera magnification for rapid spot checks
- Compatibility with multiple standards, including DIN, VDI, GOST, BS, NF, ASME, and JIS
“With the Precimar ICM 100 IP, we’ve set a new benchmark for productivity and reliability in indicator testing,” said Nick Russo, Product Manager at Mahr Inc. “This solution combines advanced technology with user-focused design to simplify workflows and enhance accuracy.”
