L&S Machine Acquires Bay Area Machine Shop

This deal extends L&S Machine's reach into West Coast markets for semiconductor, medical and aerospace applications.

L&S Machine Company (Latrobe, PA) has acquired Advanced Manufacturing (San Jose, CA), a full-service prototype and production manufacturing facility that specializes in the fabrication of plastic and metal parts for the semiconductor, medical and aerospace industries.

The acquisition extends L&S Machine’s geographic reach into the West Coast and provides an introduction to new customers with a need for high-quality, tight tolerance machining. L&S Machine’s current facility in Latrobe is a highly automated machining operation that features 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers, waterjet cutting and ASME-certified welding.

“We look forward to welcoming the vastly experienced and capable team they have,“ reports Rob DiNardi, the chief executive officer of L&S Machine. “We have served the nuclear industry for over 50 years, honing our ability to machine parts to the most demanding quality and tolerance specifications. This timely acquisition will accelerate our plans to deliver these capabilities to new customers in new markets.”

Paul Coggeshall, former owner and now general manager at Advanced Manufacturing, adds, “The acquisition is excellent news for both our customers and staff. They share our commitment to quality and excellence and our customers will be able to capitalize on their world class machining capabilities and expertise.”
