LARGE FOOTPRINT WATERJET SERVES THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
OMAX (Kent, WA) presents the 55100 JetMachining® Center, one of three large-footprint JetMachining centers produced by OMAX. Designed to machine large parts, the 55100 accommodates sheets of material up to 5 ft x 10 ft and can cut complex flat parts from a wide variety of materials used for components for the oil and gas industry.
Intelli-MAX® Software allows operators to quickly and easily program traditionally complex techniques. Users can machine parts directly from pre-existing CAD drawings or .DXF files, or create drawings via Layout, an intuitive, built-in design software. With its minimal setup time, the machine provides particularly strong value to manufacturers working with short-run part production, just-in-time manufacturing, and prototype development.
The 55100 features the Dual Pump Package, a fully integrated system that utilizes two P4055V pumps to produce unprecedented cutting speed and power and a significant reduction in machining time compared to previous cutting models. The system is specially designed for shops that focus on cutting thick, difficult to machine materials and have high-capacity production or multiple nozzle requirements.
A proven and reliable technology, the package operates on the new 3rd generation cutting model of Intelli-MAX Software, which allows cutting at 80 hp. The package also offers highly efficient, redundant pump operation and permits users to switch between standard and high power operation to ensure the best operation for an application. Additionally, the package operates both pumps at optimum efficiency and has an extended seal life in excess of 500 hours.
