Laguna Tools announces a new director of sales.

Laguna Tools (Irvine, CA), a leading innovator of woodworking equipment for both professionals and serious hobbyists, recently announced the appointment of Steve Alvarez as director of sales in the company’s CNC division.

Formally the sales manager of Laguna Tool’s CNC Division, Alvarez is highly respected in industry for his product knowledge and commitment to customer service.

“Steve brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new position. It’s definitely a significant advantage for both the company and our clientele to have such a progressive, customer service oriented leader on our team,” said Catherine Helshoj, vice president at Laguna Tools.

Over the years, the firm has positioned itself at the top of the highly competitive CNC market by designing and marketing extremely rugged, versatile, high-end but cost-effective CNC machines with an emphasis on safety.

“I know that when a customer (or prospective client) describes his or her company’s needs for a CNC machine, that we will have the ideal CNC model for the job,” said Alvarez, who is also an avid woodworking hobbyist.

Alvarez says Laguna Tool’s is continually upgrading or introducing new CNC equipment that saves woodworkers both time and money. “We never rest on our laurels…we always stay ahead of the curve and are constantly updating our lineup based on customer feedback and our own expectations, since we are all woodworkers ourselves.”

Customer service, he added, remains a hallmark of Laguna Tools. “Any time a customer has a question, we have an expert happy to quickly handle the call. That means free software consulting and unlimited free support over the phone – and that’s a big deal in this industry where downtime is money lost.”
