KUKA México to Celebrate 30th Anniversary in 2026
2026 will mark a significant milestone for KUKA México, as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary serving customers across México’s manufacturing sector. KUKA México has played a central role in advancing industrial automation in the region while contributing to the long-term development of the country’s manufacturing capabilities. Over the past three decades, the company has continued to strengthen partnerships with customers, system integrators, and institutions shaping the future of automated manufacturing in México.
Established in 1996, KUKA México has consistently responded to regional manufacturing needs by delivering advanced industrial automation supported by technical expertise. The company’s first major project was with Volkswagen for the Jetta A3 and the new Beetle model, where the first KUKA México robots were installed. This early project marked the beginning of a new era for Mexican manufacturing and helped open new industrial opportunities throughout the region.
Over the years, KUKA México has expanded its reach well beyond automotive manufacturing. While automotive remains a core focus, the company now serves a broad range of industries and applications, including electronics, material handling and packaging, consumer goods, metalworking, logistics, and healthcare. KUKA México has also supported industries unique to the Mexican market, such as avocado processing and the production of craft and industrial beer, tequila, and other spirits for food and beverage processing.
KUKA’s success in México over the past 30 years is closely tied to its strong network of strategic alliances and industrial collaborations. The organization works closely with certified integrators who design and implement customized automation solutions for customers across the country. This ecosystem of trusted partners has been instrumental in supporting KUKA’s growth and reinforcing its leadership position in México. At the same time, continued government investment in technology and automation has recognized KUKA as a key contributor to the nation’s industrial development.
Looking ahead, KUKA plans to further expand its ecosystem by integrating more academic institutions and deepening relationships with industrial clusters and associations. In México, as across its global operations, strategic alliances and personalized service remain central to KUKA’s mission and long-term strategy.
“We look back with pride over the past 30 years,” says Christopher Hernandez, president of KUKA México, “and now look forward to continuing our purpose – empowering local manufacturing through KUKA innovation, while helping to build the future of México’s manufacturing industries.”
