KUKA Robotics will showcase its KUKA autonomous mobile robots at MODEX 2026, taking place April 13–16 in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Georgia World Congress Center. Attendees can visit KUKA in Building ABC, Level 1, Booth #B15132 to see live demonstrations of advanced AMR solutions, including the debut of the KMP 250P autonomous mobile platform, which simplifies material handling and improves operational efficiency.

The booth will feature live demonstrations of several KUKA autonomous mobile robots, including the KMP 250P, KMP 600P, KMP 1500P and KMP 3000P. These AMRs range in payload from 250 to 3,000 kg and fully integrate with the KUKA.AMR FLEET software for managing a facility’s autonomous vehicles. The display will also include AMRs interacting with a KR QUANTEC PA palletizing robot, demonstrating the speed, flexibility and efficiency of KUKA’s automated palletizing solutions for safer, more efficient material handling.

With differential drive technology, the KMP 250P offers excellent maneuverability, and each unit can lift a 250-kg load.

The KMP 250P is a compact, highly maneuverable AMR designed for flexible deployment. With differential drive technology, the KMP 250P offers excellent maneuverability, and each unit can lift a 250-kg load. The conductive charging station and optional inductive charging solutions ensure continuous operation with minimal interruption.

Designed to operate safely in dynamic environments alongside people, the KMP 250P is equipped with advanced safety features, including 3D cameras and laser scanners. These technologies enable reliable obstacle detection and help ensure the safety of personnel while maintaining efficient material transport throughout the facility.

KUKA’s KMP 600P is a compact AMR that can transport up to 600 kg and is particularly suitable for production environments with limited space. It improves storage processes, increases the flexibility of assembly lines and makes material flow more efficient in complex industrial environments. With its differential drive technology, it can move forward and backward, rotate in place and round curves with a defined radius.

The KMP 600P can use SLAM-based autonomous navigation, with an optional QR-code and line-following navigation system — a new feature now available to all KMPs that adds flexibility in rapidly changing environments. Two integrated 3D cameras enable obstacle detection and avoidance, eliminating the need for safety fencing and allowing safe operation alongside people while moving in any direction. An IP54-rated design protects the platform from dust, water spray and other harsh industrial conditions.

With the same advanced safety provisions as the KMP 1500P, the KMP 3000P is designed to operate safely alongside people while transporting heavy loads using its omnidirectional movement system, which enhances its ability to maneuver into tight spaces, using a “crabwalk” motion for smooth lateral movement.

The KMP 1500P supports transportation and logistics processes with a 60 mm lift stroke, precision positioning and a payload capacity of up to 1.5 tons. Using built-in identification technology and QR code readers, the AMR can lift and transport a wide range of load carriers, making it easy to integrate into existing production and warehouse environments.

Its adaptive navigation allows autonomous path optimization in dynamic settings, while inductive charging enables intelligent 24/7 operation. The AI-based KUKA.AMR Fleet software provides intuitive navigation and centralized control for improved safety and productivity.

For heavy-duty performance, the KMP 3000P handles payloads of up to 3 tons with millimeter precision. With the same advanced safety provisions as the KMP 1500P, the KMP 3000P operates safely alongside people while transporting heavy loads using its omnidirectional movement system. This system enhances maneuverability in tight spaces and enables a “crabwalk” motion for smooth lateral movement. It has a 3D camera on all four sides to aid navigation, avoid obstacles and provide additional safety for people working nearby.

As with all the company’s automation solutions, those shown at MODEX 2026 are backed by KUKA’s expert service and support for training, complete system engineering and simulation, readily available spare parts and robot refurbishment.
