Hyde Industrial Blade Promotes Two Employees
Hyde Industrial Blade Solutions (IBS; Southbridge, MA), a leading manufacturer of industrial knives and blades, today announced the promotion of two long-term employees to new and expanded roles in the organization.
Armando Gonzalez of Southbridge, MA, was named to the position of technical coordinator at the company. Having recently celebrated his 25th anniversary at Hyde IBS, Gonzalez will utilize his experience to lead training initiatives for new and existing employees on manufacturing machines and processes.
In his new role, Gonzalez will champion process improvement across the entire organization. He will also be responsible for overseeing the ordering of machine tooling for the company’s cutting and honing operations.
Sarah Kratz of Thompson, CT, was promoted to the role of logistics coordinator at the 140 year-old firm. Employed at the company for 13 years, Kratz is a skilled CNC machine operator and will be responsible for the day-to-day movement of projects between departments based upon customers’ requirements.
Starting with the scheduling of projects with both regular and expedited timetables, Kratz will spearhead Six Sigma process improvement activities on the production floor at the company. She will also oversee metal scrap management and product stocking programs for the company.
Hyde IBS boasts 6 employees with over 40 years of experience, 18 employees with between 30 years to 40 years of experience and 36 employees with between 20 years to 30 years of experience. The company also has several multi-generational parent and son or daughter teams working throughout the operation.
