In Booth 1914, WTO USA (Charlotte, NC) will showcase their gear hobbing unit that makes it possible to manufacture gears with different geometries and requirements on a turning center. This unit combines a rigid and compact design with amply dimensioned gearing to achieve good serration qualities. Changing the cutting tool is easy and fast. Its counter support is removable so that the cutting area is easy to reach. Angles up to ±30 deg can be set up on the angle scale swing, making it possible to manufacture helical dowel gears. Each gear hobbing unit is individually designed for the specific turning center to provide these advantages:

Maximum scale swing of ±30 deg.
Maximum module size 6.
Easy cutting tool changeover through removable counter support and withdrawal of the complete milling arbor.
Interchangeable milling arbor available in different sizes.
Usable for machining gear quality according to standard AGMA 8.
