Fully Automatic Punch and Shear Processing System
In Booth S-3949, Trilogy Machinery, Inc. (Belcamp, MD), the exclusive U.S. distributor for Sunrise equipment, is pleased to introduce the new Sunrise APS fully automatic plate processing system, a complete plate processing system that is capable of both punching and shearing simultaneously. The fully enclosed system is driven by a powerful rack and pinion in-feed capable of handling up to 40 ft lengths of material at speeds up to 40 fpm. Standard features include pneumatic clamping, hydraulic plate hold-down, hydraulic stripper, touch-screen control and triple punch.

The APS allows hands-free operation for the complete processing of flat bar up to 20 in wide. Models featuring the triple punch allow the operator to assign one of three punches to any particular hole including “spot marks.” A plate shear anti-twist feature allows even the smallest of plates to be sheared straight. The Y-axis is specially designed hydraulic punch driven on high speed linear rails allowing the operator to punch across the entire width of plate. Pneumatic material guides, auto-lubrication system and rolling slug bucket are all standard items. The operation and programming are CNC controlled using a touch-screen control featuring operator-friendly programming with nesting capability. The operator simply positions the plate on in-feed table, initiates the pneumatic clamping and the machine processes, punches and shears the plate automatically.
