ENTRY LEVEL, MODULAR VIDEO-BASED SYSTEM FOR PRECISION INSPECTION
The L.S. Starrett Company will showcase the Galileo KineMic. This entry level modular video-based inspection system is well-suited for quality assurance, receiving inspection, training, manufacturing, assembly, research, documentation and a variety of other applications. The Galileo KineMic base system includes a 6-1 magnification range with a programmable magnification range from 2x and 0.5x zoom with auxiliary lenses, and a microscope stand with coarse-fine focus control.
For superior lighting, LED illumination is provided with a wired remote dimmer control. Transmitted illumination with a dual output illuminator is also available. ?The new Galileo KineMic offers our customers a precision video-based inspection solution at the entry level,? said Mr. Mark Arenal, Managing Director of Starrett Kinemetric Engineering Division. ?The standard system is full-featured and customers can also choose to customize their inspection system by adding on one or more options.? A hi-resolution color video camera with 1/3 in color CCD offers 768H x 494V resolution. The 15 in monitor provides video magnification with programmable standard magnification range at 34x -215x and a 13 in monitor at 22x to 142x. Field of view is .360 in low to .056 in high. A 2 in x 2 in X-Y stage with LCD micrometer heads and a digital crosshair generator is available as an option. It is also available with calibration standards.
