A new, compact electropolishing system that offers manufacturers of high-value metallic devices and medical components complete control over all aspects of their production, quality, and delivery schedules is being introduced by METFAB Technologies, Inc.

The Electropolishing System allows manufacturers of surgical drills, stents, and screens to sharpen, deburr, passivate, and electropolish them in-house. Eliminating outside vendors, possible quality inconsistencies, and delayed deliveries, this PLC-controlled system is ideally suited for certified processes requiring complete part and lot traceability.

Featuring a secure, menu-driven controller that includes 10+ pre-programmed recipes for treatment cycles and is user customizable, the Electropolishing System performs multiple-step processing of parts measuring up to 8 in x 8 in x 4 in. Totally enclosed, it only requires a 6 ft x 3 ft footprint and can process up to 30 loads/hour, depending upon parts and materials. The Electropolishing System is priced from $75,000.00, built to customer requirements. Literature and quotations are available on request. www.metfabtech.com
