EIGHT AXIS VMC SERIES OFFERS EXTREME EFFICIENCY

GBI Cincinnati, Inc. offers their Revolution Series of VMCs. With a minimum block processing of 50,000 bps in 8-axis simultaneous applications, the Revolution CV4020 with the MTI constant velocity control is 25 times more efficient than any control on the market today.

GBI Cincinnati, Inc. offers their Revolution Series of VMCs. With a minimum block processing of 50,000 bps in 8-axis simultaneous applications, the Revolution CV4020 with the MTI constant velocity control is 25 times more efficient than any control on the market today.

The Revolution CV4020 will process a part complete in half the cycle time, because the machine operates at maximum efficiency and at a constant velocity. Further, due to its efficiency, the Revolution has other important benefits beside cycle time reduction. For example, the Revolution CV4020 doesn?t accelerate and decelerate like all other machine tools. The Revolution repeatably provides significant increases in tool life, superior part finishes, less wear on drives and motors, plus major extension of the life of the machine tool. Sound like a bit of exaggeration?

"It?s not,? says Kevin V. G. Bevan, president, GBI Cincinnati, Inc. "I, too, had my reservations…until I actually saw the Revolution in operation. What we?re seeing here is not just faster processors, a faster control, a faster machine. What we?re seeing is truly a paradigm shift in chip removal, in addition to significant increases in machine efficiency. The way we?ve looked at machining for the last 20-30 years today has been dramatically altered. This is seriously amazing technology.?

Rich Ormrod, national distributor manager, GBI, says, ?When performing in a 3-D contour milling environment, the Revolution has the ability to process program data internally 25 times faster and more efficiently than any control currently available. The Revolution equipped with the MTI CV control has a minimum block-processing speed of 50,000 BPS in 8-axis simultaneous movement versus the industry average of 600-3000 BPS in 3-axis applications. The Revolution utilizes 80 internal high speed buffers that continuously shuffle programming data through its proprietary software, optimizing the control?s speed and efficiency, resulting in productivity gains of 100 percent or more without deviating from a customer?s current part programming.?
