Dewhirst Receives Cold Spray Leadership Award

The Supersonic Spray Technologies Division (SST™, Windsor, ON) of CenterLine (Windsor) Limited announced that Joe Dewhirst of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing (Detriot, MI) is the 2012 recipient of its Cold Spray Leadership Award.

This annual award is in recognition of outstanding contributions made to the industrial development and application of cold spray technology.

The award was presented on October 31 to Dewhirst for his leadership in advancing the commercial usage of cold spray as an approved coating process at Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing.

Dewhirst is a strong champion of cold spray and has been instrumental in the establishment of many cold spray process specifications.
