Dennen Steel Received Steelcase 2013 Premium Suppliers Award
Company was awarded Premium Suppliers Award at the Steelcase Suppliers Summit.
Dennen Steel (Grand Rapids, MI) recently received the Steelcase 2013 Premier Suppliers Award. This is the first year for this award from Steelcase. The awards were announced during the Steelcase Supplier Summit at their campus.
Dennen’s strategic advantage is their business relationships with major steel mills and internal slitting operations that support stamping production. The YCP location uniquely positions the company to receive 35 tons of master coils by barge from numerous southern steel mills.
The firm supplies a diverse customer market that includes; heavy truck, office furniture, appliance, agriculture and automotive. The Premier Supplier Award is based on achievement of five goals set by Steelcase.
The company had a Product Quality Rating of 195 to 200, it met the Green Quality Score for the entire year, completed its contract, was a strategic supplier, and it had business over $250,000.
Dennen successfully achieved these goals for the 2013 Steelcase fiscal year. “Dennen is excited to receive this award during the first year of operation in Mississippi. We are off to a great start, to create a legacy of quality, service and trust with our customers”, stated Chris Austin, Dennen Steel’s operation manager at the YCP Facility.
