Dallas Waterjet Offers Premium Waterjet Cutting for North Texas

Waterjet cutting makes its way to Texas.

New Company Serves Various Industries Using Advanced Waterjet Technology

DallasWaterjet (Plano, TX) offers premium waterjet cutting, machining and fabrication services for customers throughout Dallas, Fort Worth and North Texas. The new company provides a complete cutting solution using waterjet technology, one of the fastest growing major machine tool processes in the world.

With waterjet cutting it is possible to cost-effectively cut many materials not possible with traditional machinery, so there are few limits on projects or applications that DallasWaterjet can’t handle. The company has also launched a Web site which includes photos of waterjet cutting in action and completed projects.

DallasWaterjet provides five axis waterjet cutting as well as brake forming, spot-welding, machining and finishing of many traditional and non-traditional fabrication materials. The company offers cut-to-print and build-to-print services using a customer’s design drawings or the company can produce fully detailed drawings using its in-house design capabilities. The company takes the design from concept, to cutting, to completion with its turnkey fabrication services.

“The benefits of waterjet cutting add up to cost savings per part in industries that have traditionally defined productivity by a cost-per-hour model,” said Matt Hodson, president of DallasWaterjet. “Our customers are looking for a clean and exact cut, along with unique design capabilities.”

The company serves customers in diverse industries such as manufacturing, energy construction architecture, technology and retail. The versatile waterjet technology allows DallasWaterjet to give customers a distinctive product that meets their needs, whether for a precision part, structural component, architectural element, display fixture, logo or signage.

Using waterjet technology enables the company to fit any material into any shape, even hard to cut materials. For example, waterjets can cut sheet gauge stainless steel up to more than 6 in thick with no heat effected zone. For reflective materials, such as acrylic that lasers shouldn’t or can’t cut, waterjet cutting is very effective. Soft materials like synthetic elastomers are hard to cut in traditional ways, but not with waterjet. Other materials effectively formed into any shape with waterjet cutting include aluminum, titanium, plastics, composites, natural and manmade stone, wood, rubber, cork and glass.
