Corrosion Inhibitor Packaging Protects Metal Parts

VCI films and bubble bags from Daubert Cromwell protect steel, aluminum, copper and other metal parts from rust and shipping damage.
Booth D-46253: For automotive, electronics, aerospace and precision machined parts manufacturers who need consistent, effective anti-corrosion packaging for exporting their components, nitrite- and amine-free Clear Pak 5000 VCI packaging film from Daubert Cromwell is enhanced to protect steel, aluminum and copper while increasing worker safety.

In Booth D-46253, Daubert Cromwell, Inc. (Alsip, IL) introduces the next generation of their environmentally-friendly Clear Pak brand of VCI films with the nitrite- and amine-free Clear Pak 5000 film that is enhanced to protect steel, aluminum and copper while increasing worker safety. In rigorous industry and OEM testing, CP5000 earned the highest ratings as an effective VCI packaging film. This bio-based, internationally tested and approved film is ideal for use in industries where the needs for corrosion solutions are evolving: automotive, electronics, aerospace, and precision machined parts manufacturing. Recyclable, safe and easy to use, CP5000 film is designed for use by manufacturers and suppliers who need consistent, effective anti-corrosion packaging for exporting their valuable components.

Also on display will be flexible, adhesive-top Premium Metal-Guard® VCI bubble bags that protect metal parts from physical damage and corrosion. They provide cushioning and corrosion protection for highly polished, precision machined parts in storage and during transit. Bags are best for heavy metal parts and delicate components that are susceptible to damage due to vibration during shipment. Optional peel-and-seal closure makes bags easy to use, up to 3X faster than hand-wrapping. Standard VCI bags are two-layer, bubble-out construction that allows parts to slide in easily. The corrosion inhibitor film is safe to handle, odorless, and does not affect processing or soldering. Ideal for packaging computer equipment, electronics, and heavy components with machined surfaces that need individual wrapping to prevent marring and scuffing. Other features include:

  • Air bubbles on the outside of the bag cushion the part from movement, abrasion, and rubbing against other parts in the shipping container or box.
  • Bags resist tears and punctures.
  • Lip and tape closure eliminates the need for tape or staples.
  • Bags help reduce labor costs and packaging time.
