COIL CUTTING OPTIMIZATION SOFTWARE FOR STEEL SERVICE CENTERS

Fast-Square offers its Coil Cut Optimizer. The improvement of margin and customer service for Steel Service Centers is strongly dependent upon the optimization of cutting planning. Unfortunately, the complexity of the problem has always been a tough obstacle for software technology.

Fast-Square offers its Coil Cut Optimizer. The improvement of margin and customer service for Steel Service Centers is strongly dependent upon the optimization of cutting planning. Unfortunately, the complexity of the problem has always been a tough obstacle for software technology.

For the past few years, CCO by Fast-Square has been on the market and shown all its power in the optimization of cutting lines. The solution is based on an ?ad hoc? developed technique that enables evaluation of a huge number of possible combinations in a very short time while considering all the typical constraints. Some of the companies that have already adopted CCO include Corus Italia, Acciaieria Arvedi, and S. Polo Lamiere. Coil Cut Optimizer (CCO) is one of the most successful software packages that Fast-Square has developed for Steel Service Centers. CCO optimizes the cutting programs as well as the scheduling of cutting machines (slitter, cut-to-length and shears). CCO optimizer generates in a few seconds a list of cutting programs, optimal according to customer criteria.
