CERATIZIT Completes Phase One at New North American Headquarters
CERATIZIT completed phase one of its strategic base-of-operations plan and officially opened the doors to its new North American headquarters in the Griffith Gateway office park in Charlotte, N.C. The global cutting tool leader began site selection in 2024 with priorities focused on customer accessibility, proximity to a robust manufacturing ecosystem, and access to a skilled workforce pipeline. CERATIZIT ultimately selected Charlotte and launched the phase one build-out of modern conference and meeting spaces in February 2025.
The new headquarters, located at 625 Griffith Road, is strategically positioned less than a mile from Interstate 77 and just 20 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. This prime location strengthens CERATIZIT’s ability to connect with customers across North America.
Charlotte’s reputation as a manufacturing hub also played a significant role in the selection committee’s decision. North Carolina’s diverse industrial base, combined with recent expansions from OEM and Tier 1 suppliers, aligned perfectly with CERATIZIT’s core markets in aerospace, automotive, energy, and precision manufacturing.
Another critical factor was workforce availability. North Carolina’s investment in technical colleges, trade schools, and universities ensures a strong supply of skilled professionals in machining, engineering, and manufacturing technologies. As CERATIZIT advances to phase two—which will include a dedicated North American technical center within the Charlotte headquarters—the company plans to draw from this talent pool while also serving as a training partner to educational institutions.
