Randall Rau, known as Randy to his friends and colleagues, retired this week from Blum-Novotest. Randy began his career at Blum-Novotest in 2006 as Regional Sales and Service Manager and held a variety of technical positions in the company over the last 16 years. During his career at Blum-Novotest, Randy has been a great mentor and technical reference for many of our Service and Sales colleagues to whom he transferred his knowledge and shared his experience.

“Randy will be greatly missed,” says Lilian Barraud, Blum-Novotest President.  “His technical understanding of the Blum products and how to integrate them into a variety of machine-tools and CNCs was valued by all of us here and particularly by all the customers he served. We wish him great happiness and luck in his retirement.”

Bob Blunk, currently Service Manager, will be promoted to Technical Director and take over Randy’s responsibilities.  The merger of the service and technical solutions together will enable our customers to more seamlessly integrate new measuring hardware and software into their machine-tools.

Blum-Novotest, Inc., has 50 years of experience as supplier for the worldwide machine tool, automotive, medical, and aircraft industries. They will have product demonstrations at the stand and their technical staff available to answer any questions about tactile and optical measuring systems for automated tool setting and spindle probe systems for workpiece setting and inspection applications in machine tools.
