BIG DAISHOWA supports the future of manufacturing. In the first three years of the program, BIG DAISHOWA has issued nearly $70,000 in tooling certificates to high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities.

Now in its fourth year, the Tools for Schools program from BIG DAISHOWA continues to grow. It helps prepare the next generation of manufacturers by giving students access to the same precision tooling used in industry. From November 3, 2025, through January 30, 2026, the company will again donate a tooling certificate worth 20 percent of every qualifying order to the customer’s chosen school. Certificates may be redeemed for tool holders, boring tools, cutting tools, workholding devices, and presetters.

Over the first three years, BIG DAISHOWA awarded nearly $70,000 in tooling certificates to high schools, trade programs, colleges, and universities. According to Jack Burley, President and COO of BIG DAISHOWA, the initiative directly supports the company’s long-term goal of building a skilled workforce.

“We’re committed to preparing the next generation of manufacturers for success,” said Burley. “This program gives students confidence and experience with the same precision tooling they will use in their careers.”

How to Participate

Participation in the Tools for Schools program is simple and straightforward.

  • The qualifying minimum order is $5,000, which earns a $1,000 tooling certificate.

  • Place the order through your local distributor and request “Drop ship from BIG DAISHOWA.”

  • Add “PROMO-BD-SCHOOLS” as a line item on the order.

Through this approach, every purchase also benefits educational programs that develop future machinists and engineers.

Precision Tooling and Educational Impact

BIG DAISHOWA provides a broad range of tooling, workholding, and tool management systems. These products are designed to cut process time and lower cost per part. The lineup includes face-mill holders, end-mill holders, collet chucks, angle heads, and tapping adaptors. Customers also rely on KAISER Boring Systems, Sphinx Drills, and UNILOCK Workholding systems, as well as CAT, BT, HSK, and BIG Capto interfaces.

For machines with a BIG-PLUS spindle, BIG DAISHOWA remains the only licensed provider of BIG-PLUS tool holders in North America. This ensures accurate performance and full spindle compatibility while protecting valuable equipment from improper fit.
