Batch Mode Fine-Grinding Systems

The Spiro F5 and Spiro F12 from Supfina can grind highly precise, ≤ 1.0 µm plane parallelism and machine precision bearings, pump gears, valve plates, and more up to 20 times faster than lapping to greatly reduce costs per unit.
Booth N-236949: The large Spiro F12 fine-grinding machine from Supfina achieves highly precise plane parallelism (≤ 1.0 µm) for precision bearings, pump gears, valve plates, and more with a lower grinding wheel that can accommodate parts with diameters of 6 mm to 420 mm and thicknesses of 1 mm to 100 mm. It is accessed easily because the upper grinding wheel swings well out of the way, facilitating loading and unloading as well as any maintenance tasks. (first view)

In Booth N-236949, Supfina Machine Company, Inc. (North Kingstown, RI) will unveil two fine-grinding machines: the Spiro F5 and the Spiro F12. Along with the Spiro F7, these grinders provide customized systems for “batch mode” processing of a wide range of parts, from aluminum to steel, soft plastics to hard ceramics. Whatever the material, each Spiro can achieve highly precise plane parallelism (≤ 1.0 µm). Parts are machined up to 20 times faster than lapping, meaning costs per unit are greatly reduced. The smaller F5 processes parts 4 mm to 150 mm diameter and 0.3 mm to 50 mm thick, while the larger F12 machines handles parts 6 mm to 420 mm diameter and mm to 100 mm thick.
