Automated Precision Appoints New VP
The appointment of Song Chung as the new senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Automated Precision, Inc. (API; Rockville, MD), a global provider of coordinate measurement solutions for the metrology industry, has been announced by Dr. Kam Lau, the chief executive officer and owner of the company.
Chung comes to the company from a 20-year career with Perceptron, Inc. (Plymouth, MI), where he most recently was the senior vice president and chief technology officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He and his family reside in Ann Arbor, MI.
“We are confident that Song Chung will bring us his broad portfolio of technical experience, sales know-how and management capabilities that will enable us to continue to grow the business in the broader industrial markets where our sales solutions for dimensional gauging, dimensional inspection and 3D scanning have the greatest potential,” said Lau.
