New software features introduce technical innovations that streamline production workflows and elevate output. This release supports ANCA’s mission to empower customers to produce more, faster and at lower cost, without compromising precision. These enhancements help manufacturers stay competitive in a high-demand market.

Thomson Mathew, Software Product Manager at ANCA says: “ToolRoom RN35 isn’t just a software release or an update – it’s a performance transformation. We’ve re-engineered the entire grinding experience to unlock new levels of efficiency, quality, and machine utilisation. From feedrate optimization to grind point velocity control to faster digitizing operations, we are empowering manufacturers to maximize output while maintaining ANCA’s world-class precision.”

“Whether you’re pushing for higher throughput, more consistent performance, or smarter use of machine time, ToolRoom RN35 makes every grind more profitable. These new enhancements will help to improve every aspect of customers’ grinding operations.”

Transform every grind into profit

Modern tool production faces rising raw material and production costs. Long cycle times, complex programming and machine downtime are not an option. Smart grinding processes in ToolRoom RN35 boost productivity without sacrificing precision, enabling more tools per hour with consistent ANCA quality.

A simplified, operator-friendly interface with automation and real-time in-process measurements helps increase productivity. It reduces cycle time, lowers cost per piece and supports consistent output.

New features: higher quality and smarter processes

The new Grind Point Velocity feedrate reference mode is a significant leap forward for a streamlined method for achieving the highest quality across the cutting tool industry. Purpose-built software smarts revolutionize feedrate specification by maintaining a constant velocity precisely where the grinding point contacts the workpiece. Using intelligent kinematic control to dynamically adjust machine axis speeds in real time, ensures a stable feed at the point of contact.

The result is dramatically improved surface finish with consistent grind marks, elimination of transition lines, simplified programming, and substantial cycle time reduction—achieving, for instance, a drop from 2 minutes 3 seconds to just 1 minute 43 seconds.

  • Precision at Speed: Optimised feedrates and improved adaptive grinding without threshold conditions ensure consistently smoother results, better surface finish. Wheel life is extended by reducing spindle load spikes by an average of 5%.
  • Full Wheel Flexibility: Full support for 4+ wheels on a single wheelpack and support for external qualifications, means no limitations.
  • Smarter Measurements: Enhanced LaserUltra capabilities, including continuous scan and oscillation, for better tool quality and control.
  • Smarter Processes: Maintain grind point velocity for improved surface finish and manage wheels individually with wheel lifecycle management based on material removal.
  • Operator-Centric Design: Streamlined interface reduces setup time and training effort, driving faster output and fewer errors.

All the above features are updates to the base RN35 release.
