ALM Positioners is Awarded Patent
ALM Positioners, Inc. (Rock Island, IL) has been awarded a patent related to their development of Robot Ready Hydraulic Positioners. The patented technology virtually eliminates programmed position variability – especially important for robotic welding. This improvement provides a multi-axis positioning solution for large weldments at a much lower cost than conventional servo positioning technology. The patented feature development is a result of their drive to create a family of high capacity multi-axis positioners suitable for the following applications:
- Pendant Controlled
- Programmable Positioning
- Intelligent Welding (correlates programmed part position with weld requirements)
- Robotic Welding
All four application types are enabled by their patented technology and flexible Plug & Play Motion Control Technology. The Plug & Play-equipped positioners can be deployed or redeployed to any of the application types. The introduction of their Re-deployable Capital Concept introduces a new level of part positioning flexibility and capital equipment utilization.
