Airtronics Metal Products, Inc. Acquires Axial Industries
Airtronics Metal Products, Inc. (San Jose, CA) a Silicon Valley sheet metal engineering, design and manufacturing company, has announced it has finalized an acquisition agreement with Axial Industries, Inc., a San Jose sheet metal fabrication and machining company.
As part of the purchase, Airtronics will relocate its operations at 1980 Senter Road to Axial?s facility at 1991 Senter Road, in San Jose. The move, which is expected to be completed in July, will increase Airtronics? operating space from 65,000 to 100,000 sq ft, and increase its employee count from 70 to just under 100. Airtronics will continue to be located within the San Jose Enterprise Zone, where it has operated for the past 14 years.
“This acquisition works because it expands our capacity and capabilities, which will enable us to better serve our customers and penetrate new markets,? said Jeffrey Burke, Airtronics President & CEO. ?Axial?s in-house silk screening operations and its expertise in machining and large-frame assembly are a perfect complement to Airtronics? state-of-the-art design, engineering and fabrication processes.?
Joining Airtronics? management team are Axial?s co-owners, Bud Rogers and Mike Nevin. Rogers assumes the position of director of engineering, reporting to Airtronics? VP of Engineering James Ellis. Nevin is now director of business development, reporting directly to Jeffrey Burke.
