Graham Stamping Gains High Volume Automotive Parts with Its New AIDA Press
AIDA-America, metal stamping press manufacturer in Dayton, OH, USA, is proud to support Graham Stamping Company, a progressive metal stamper specializing in custom metal work for the automotive, mining, and construction industries. Graham is already realizing the benefits of their second AIDA servo press, which was recently installed at their Hermitage, Pa. facility. It’s a 400-Metric-Ton unitized frame AIDA servo press featuring die area lights, forward and reverse tonnage monitor, 2.6 x 1.2 Meter bed, and 50 spm maximum speed. They run this AIDA servo press almost exclusively in pendulum motion, though, to achieve even higher ppm output.
As a direct result of Graham’s new press investment, they received two new automotive part orders with annual volumes of 2 million each. This new work alone will nearly fill their new 400-ton press’s capacity. They wouldn’t have been able to quote one of the parts, which is stamped in a 2-out die, without the added capacity of their new press, due to this part’s volume and tonnage requirements. Their other new part is produced in a 3-out die. Moreover, Graham’s increased AIDA servo press production is nearly shutting down some of their mechanical presses.
