The TruLaser 5030 fiber 5 kW laser from TRUMPF makes its first public appearance in North America as the highest powered solid-state laser cutting machine on the market.

The TruLaser 5030 fiber 5 kW laser from TRUMPF makes its first public appearance in North America as the highest powered solid-state laser cutting machine on the market.

In Booth C-3016 the TruLaser 5030 fiber 5 kW laser from TRUMPF Inc. (Farmington, CT) will make its first public appearance in North America.

As the highest powered solid-state laser cutting machine on the market, the TruLaser 5030 fiber laser achieves increased cutting capability in material thickness and speed. The laser achieves very high cutting speeds in thin sheet without losing the ability to cut thicker material.

Fabricators are able to cut mild steel up to 1 in and, depending on the material type and thickness, achieve cutting speeds up to five times faster than is possible on a comparable CO2 machine.

The laser can also cut stainless steel and aluminum as well as non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass up to 0.4 in thick. The TruLaser 5030 fiber at the show will have the LiftMaster Compact and PartMaster automation components.

The TruLaser 1030 with a CO2 laser and the TruLaser 1030 fiber solid-state laser will also be on display, side-by-side. Visitors will watch as each laser technology races to produce parts of different geometries and material types and thickness.

As they compete, concrete processing results are provided in real time to allow the customer to decide which laser is best for their fabricating needs. Regardless of the beam source, these TruLaser 1030 machines are the ideal entry into laser cutting.

Visitors may also observe remote video feed of the TruLaser 3030 laser cutting machine in operation from the TRUMPF showroom in Farmington.

With an emphasis on flexibility and reliability, this laser employs a single cutting head strategy for all sheet thicknesses, and will be shown with the reliable and well-proven TruFlow CO2 laser resonator.

With the TruLaser 5030 fiber, TruLaser 1030, TruLaser 1030 fiber, and remote access to the TruLaser 3030, this provides fabricators with a way to experience the many laser technologies applied to 2D laser processing.

Also on display will be the TruPunch 3000 press with SheetMaster loading and unloading system to demonstrate excellence in punching and automation in a 4 ft x 8 ft format.

The TruPunch 3000 with electric punching head technology averages a very energy efficient electrical consumption of about 5 kW.

The machine’s compact automation concept, gentle handling of materials and skeleton free processing means fabricators are faster to the finish in high quality processing.

Shown with the SheetMaster, this system significantly increases productivity and provides the opportunity to run unmanned shifts with higher process stability.

The TruBend 5130 hydraulic press brake offers fabricators the flexibility to bend a wide variety of parts in various sizes and material thicknesses.

The press brake’s 4-cylinder technology increases bending space, accuracy and productivity while the Automatically Controlled Bending (ACB) unit increases operator efficiency.

The TruBend 7036 electric press brake also being shown achieves high speed bending of smaller parts in thinner materials.

The TruBend 7036 represents the TruBend Series 7000, which is ideal for parts where large, heavy press brakes are inefficient because of space and energy requirements. Ergonomically designed for operator comfort, it is equipped with an adjustable foot rest and table, plus tilt control.

The TruMark 3020 Nd:YAG laser with a 1064 nm wavelength impresses with its unique compact and low maintenance air-cooled design. The energy-efficient marking laser produces excellent results on metallic surfaces as well as plastics.

Internal defocusing adjusts the working distance without external mechanical movement. The laser head can easily be integrated into production lines or a workstation, for maximum flexibility.

The TruMark 3020 will be shown integrated into the ergonomic and highly flexible TruMark Station 5000.

Completing the lineup this year will be TruTops software and the line of portable power tools, including the TruTool TSC Slat Cleaner.

Returning to the booth by popular demand is the MyTRUMPF Café, which will feature live video feed (from TRUMPF show rooms in Farmington and Plymouth, MI) of several technologies, including the TruMatic 7000 combination punch/laser machine, the TruLaser 3030 and the TRUMPF laser welding cell.

In addition, visitors to the café can view a wide range of company videos as well as its substantial social media presence. Customers will be able to see demonstrations and sign up for the MyTRUMPF customer portal. www.us.trumpf.com
