This hermetically sealed, maintenance free 3 or 6 jaw power chuck provides high precision on noncircular components.
The active pull-down ensures that the ROTA NCS power chuck from SCHUNK (Morrisville, NC) achieves best parallelism and perpendicularity results. The chuck was designed to be hermetically sealed, which makes the ROTA NCS maintenance free.
The six pendulum jaws ensure high true running accuracy and minimum deformation of the work piece, allowing precise clamping of noncircular components as well as bearings, brake drums, and disks. NCS is also perfect when parallelism is crucial.
The axial run-out accuracy is less than 0.001 mm and makes it suitable for demanding precision machining. All functional parts of the ROTA NCS are hardened and ground, which ensures a long lifetime and precision. The ROTA NCS power chuck is available in diameter sizes 250, 315, 400 and 500 mm.
